Christian Science was discovered 141 years ago by Mary Baker Eddy. During the 1870s and 1880s, she healed many and taught many students in the Massachusetts Metaphysical College which she established in 1881. In 1892 she founded The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston as a separate Christian denomination. Other churches of this denomination soon began to spring up. They were known as “branches” of The First Church in Boston which became known as the Mother Church.
First Church of Christ, Scientist, San Marino is a branch of The Mother Church.
The official Mother Church web site is at www.tfccs.org.
The publishing activity of the Mother Church is conducted by The Christian Science Publishing Society (CSPS). The main Internet publishing web site of CSPS is http://www.spirituality.com/.
