The founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, drew a sharp distinction between blind faith and spiritual understa nding. She writes: ”Entirely separate from the belief and dream of material living, is the Life divine, revealing spiritual understanding and the consciousness of man's dominion over the whole earth.”
She requires every branch of the church she founded to have a Reading Room open to the public where anyone may study or purchase all of her published writings, thereby gaining the spiritual understanding that heals sickness and enables one to overcome sin.
Our Christian Science Reading Room is located next to the church at 1030 Huntington Drive and is open Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. On Saturdays, it is open from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
